Enterprise Mauritius is organizing Rumfest Mauritius to be held on 23 and 24 Aug 2013 and leading the participation in Rumfest Berlin, Germany under the Mauritius pavilion on 5 and 6 Oct 2013.

This Ministerial level Economic and Business Conference proposes to bring together the Ministers of Commerce and Industry of the 20 IOR-ARC Member States (Australia, Bangladesh, Comoros, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kenya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mozambique, Oman, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Yemen) and the 6 Dialogue Partner States (China, Egypt, France, Japan, UK and USA). The invited Ministers will be accompanied by delegations of policymakers, businesspersons, entrepreneurs and captains of industry who will explore possibilities for expanding cooperation in key economic and business sectors. In line with the government strategy to increase exports, Enterprise Mauritius is planning to organise an integrated capacity building and marketing program for Small and Medium size Manufacturers in the Jewellery sector. This project is funded by AFD.

The main objective of this program is to handhold SMEs enterprise to assist SMEs in the Jewellery sector towards export orientation.

The program will comprise

• In-house interventions in production techniques including productivity and quality improvement
• Export marketing
• Design and product development.

EM is pleased to announce the organization for the first time in Mauritius of the Exporters Award.  This award will celebrate exports excellence in Mauritius by honouring the local businesses which have achieved sustainable export growth through innovation and commitment to international trade.  The Exporters Award aims at inspiring Mauritian Enterprises for greater involvement in exporting and sustaining competitiveness in the global trading arena.

EM is inviting Mauritian companies involved in exporting activities to participate in the Award competition by submitting their entries by 22^nd July 2013.
